Europe & UK Music Tours
Music tours to the UK and Europe offer so much variety – musically and culturally. Scotland, England and Wales all offer wonderful festival experiences, and you can easily cover all three in a UK music tour. It’s just a short hop to Ireland for a whole new set of experiences, and Paris is just three hours by Eurostar from central London. Then there are the countries of the Mediterranean, Scandinavia and the Baltic, central Europe and Russia. In all these places there are music festivals at various times of the year. The musical and cultural experiences are diverse, deep and truly inspiring. The venues are awesome and the opportunities almost unlimited. You can perform in world-renowned concert halls, splendid cathedrals, palaces, gardens, towns and villages, where audiences steeped in musical traditions are eager to hear you.
The Provencal Festival of Youth Orchestras is a non-competitive festival which runs for 5 weeks from early July. Choirs orchestras and bands perform in wonderful venues in Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Arles, Cannes and 10 other towns in this beautiful region of southern France. Because you have the freedom to come for any part of the festival you are not tied to a particular few days, so you can travel here on Gullivers music tours when it best suits your group. 1 July – early August Every Year
WOWFest is a brand new festival featured in Gullivers’ music tours for young musicians, in the beautiful city of Wells in Somerset. Concert venues include Wells Cathedral, the state-of-the-art Cedars Hall, the medieval splendour of the Bishop’s palace and the iconic market Square. There are workshops with expert tutors and within are short distance of Wells you can explore Bath, Glastonbury, Cheddar Gorge and Stonehenge. Winchester and Salisbury with their great Gothic cathedrals are also not far away. 12 – 15 July, 2018
The Stirling Bridge International Youth Arts Festival is set an area steeped in history, legend and folklore where you will experience the majesty of Scotland and the warmth of its people. Historic Stirling Castle is just one of the fabulous venues for this truly international, collaborative festival, with other performances taking place in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the new Perth Concert Hall. Our UK music tours can combine this festival with other fabulous musical experiences. 7 – 12 July 2018
The Llangollen International Eisteddfod is a long-running international event with Prince Charles as its patron. Each July music and dance ensembles from all corners of the globe perform and compete in this idyllic setting in the north of Wales, enjoying each other’s talents and sharing in the fabulous atmosphere. With opportunities in Gullivers music tours to other parts of the UK, France or IRELAND your experience is complete. 3 – 8 July, 2018
The Ultrapadum Festival begins in May each year and runs throughout the northern summer. It is hosted by 40 towns and villages centred around Pavia in the beautiful region of Lombardy, where ensembles of all kinds are welcomed by enthusiastic audiences. Ultrapadum is a festival of performances before authentic audiences in authentic settings. Gullivers can make this festival a focal point of our music tours to Italy. May – October every year
SCANDINAVIA & THE BALTIC:
DENMARK, NORWAY, SWEDEN, FINLAND, LATVIA, ESTONIA & NORTHERN RUSSIA all offer fantastic musical and cultural experiences. These differ dramatically from those you find elsewhere, and the richest choral traditions exist here. These ‘most livable’ societies in the world are so welcoming to groups who come to share music with them. As well as this, the stunning scenery and cities which effortlessly combine history and modernity form a backdrop for wonderful music tours.
USA Music Tours:
